About Me
My name’s Luke Davies-Cooke and I set up High & Low Marketing to provide growing technology companies with world-class marketing support without the overheads of a full-time employee.
I'm a Chartered Marketer and I’ve been working in B2B technology for all of my career. I started out working at some of the UK’s best PR and marketing agencies, before moving client-side to lead the marketing function at a range of technology companies. This means my experience covers a huge range of SaaS and B2B products, such as scientific software, applied AI, maritime technology, AI-powered data platforms, cybersecurity, and IT consultancy.
Across these roles I have worked with companies at every stage of growth, from being the first marketing hire building the function from nothing, through to established brands with global customer bases and complex go-to-market motions.
Through these roles I have covered nearly every part of the marketing mix, including GTM strategy; campaign development and execution; branding and messaging; SEO; paid media; PR; content creation; events; and website management.
My Experience
DIGITAL MARKETING AND DEMAND GENERATOR DIRECTOR
Sapio Sciences (Scientific and laboratory SaaS)
As digital marketing and demand generation director at Sapio Sciences, I transformed the efficacy of our digital marketing activity, increasing pipeline revenue by 25% YoY and ARR by 30% YoY.
My digital marketing activity was responsible for $27m in pipeline revenue, representing 66% of total pipeline, resulting in $17.6m closed won revenue. My LinkedIn campaigns contributed 13.5% to overall pipeline revenue.
I also transformed our approach to SEO, resulting in a 160% increase in ranked keywords and 80% increase in keyword traffic.
And I led the development of agentic AI within the marketing team. I developed a range of agentic marketing tools, such as automated Hubspot<>Slack reporting; competitor monitoring; and agent overview
dashboard; a content creation tool; and a website performance monitoring
tool.
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Nautilus Labs (Maritime shipping SaaS)
As Director of Marketing at Nautilus Labs I led a team of three marketing and design specialists. The remit of my role covered the entire marketing function, with a particular focus on awareness, demand generation, and brand building.
In my time at Nautilus Labs I managed an entire company rebrand, redesigned the website, launched multiple successful campaigns and increased organic traffic by 33%.
HEAD OF MARKETING
Encord (AI computer vision training software)
As Head of Marketing at Encord I was the first marketing hire, and have built out the function to a team of four. My current focus is creating an inbound lead machine, a highly converting website, and an eye-catching brand.
To date this has increased organic traffic by 500% and doubled on-page conversion rates, contributing to month-on-month pipeline growth.
HEAD OF MARKETING
Faculty (AI consultancy)
As Head of Marketing at Faculty, an applied AI scale-up, I led a six-person marketing team. In this role, I was responsible for setting the marketing strategy and actively executing this strategy alongside the rest of my team.
During my time at Faculty, I helped define the overall brand and GTM strategy. I also implemented a lead scoring and allocation framework in Hubspot.
GLOBAL MARKETING MANAGER
Dialog Solutions (Pharma and scientific research software)
As Global Marketing Manager for Dialog Solutions, I was responsible for all marketing activities. My role covered a range of tasks, from planning and budgeting to creating long and short-form content.
I also relaunched the Dialog Solutions brand and created a new website. Despite being the only person on the marketing team, I delivered a 230% return on marketing spend and a 200% increase in SQLs.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Golin (Full-service marketing agency)
At Golin I headed up several key technology accounts where I was responsible for the overall success of the account and managing large teams to help achieve the client’s goals.
My client portfolio at Golin included a range of global technology brands such as Dimension Data, NTT, Oracle, Garmin and Siemens.
